Informal Flotilla
What the Ionian in Greece is famous for

For sociable families and couples alike

Flotillas! What the Ionian in Greece is famous for!

We do not provide the traditional flotilla but we can provide you with our own ‘informal flotilla’. This is for those who feel more comfortable having some assistance with mooring, but do not necessarily want to have the restriction of group dinners or fixed flotilla routes.

We don’t insist you’re in by 3 or 4 o’clock just when the sailing is getting good, we help you moor even if you are a late arrival and you don’t have to join us everyday – a more flexible alternative.

We recommend having one of our qualified instructors on board with you for the first day (depending on your experience), if you are choosing a flotilla for your first sailing holiday – this will help cover important safety information and build confidence for sailing.

There is a charge of £150 per boat for the week – this service is only running May half term, July & August school holidays & October half term. Wednesday bookings please note – the flotilla starts on a Sunday, contact the office for more information.

About

For the busier months of July and August we will be running a more traditional flotilla sailing for the whole week. This is perfect for those with children who may want company their own ages (and for their parents), or for those who want a little bit more assistance with mooring during the busy holiday months.

One of our skippers will be leading the flotilla holiday but we will be running the flotilla in Sail Ionian style so it will be a laid back approach; no pressure to rush to be moored up by a certain time or organised games and meals.  All very flexible between flotilla joiners.

This service is being offered for a small fee of £150 for the week (running throughout July & August).

Sunday arrival

Sail with or without an instructor or skipper on board to the first destination. We meet you in, help you moor the yacht if necessary and check you are have everything you need. You relax on the beach for your first night in Greece.

Your first day

We offer free mooring practice in a nearby harbour for anyone wanting to join. We also offer free long line practice for anyone wanting to stay the night in bays during the week. These are optional. Afterwards, sail with or without a skipper on board to another harbour for the evening where you can moor with our yachts, or choose to moor separately. Some of our yachts choose to have drinks with us the first evening and we recommend tavernas for the evening.

The rest of the week

We check that you are organised and ready when leaving the harbour, suggest the best places for lunch and a swim and meet you in the evening in the next harbour and help you moor up.

We can also advise on facilities and the best tavernas and anything else we can help with!
